Dr. Smita Bagrecha

Dr. Smita Bagrecha is an internationally trained ophthalmic surgeon and glaucoma consultant, widely recognised as one of the best ophthalmologists in Mumbai for the management of complex cataract and glaucoma cases. Renowned for her surgical precision and compassionate, patient-centred approach, she combines extensive clinical knowledge with global training from leading institutions in India, Australia, and Canada.
She completed her MBBS from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal (1995) and MS in Ophthalmology from GRMC, Gwalior (2000). Her advanced sub-specialty training includes prestigious long-term fellowships in Comprehensive Ophthalmology & Glaucoma from Shri Ganapati Netralaya (FSGN) and Glaucoma Diagnosis and Management from the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital (FRVEEH), University of Melbourne, Australia. This strong academic and clinical foundation enables her to confidently manage high-risk and complex eye conditions.
Dr. Bagrecha is currently working as a Visiting Consultant at Holy Family Multispeciality Hospital, Mumbai, where she continues to deliver advanced, evidence-based, and patient-focused eye care.
