Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) is a tie-up for quality health care amongst patients, attendants and healthcare professionals. We are trained to provide safe, effective and compassionate care, but the role of the patient and their attendants is also key in ensuring a smooth treatment experience and positive health outcome.
Patients are required to give truthful and complete details of their medical history, current medication, allergies, previous treatments and any existing health conditions. It’s important to tell your doctor or nurse if anything changes in the way you feel, if you become uncomfortable or have any concerns so that the healthcare team can make timely decisions and give you the right care. Patients are also encouraged to adhere to treatment plans, medication schedules, dietary advice and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
We request the family members and attendants to co-operate with the hospital staff and support the patient during the course of treatment. Attendants must follow the hospital's visiting hours, infection-control measures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Follow instructions for patient care, navigating the hospital, and operating medical equipment.
The patients and attenders are requested to be polite and respectful to the hospital staff, co-patients and visitors. Your discipline, your respect for the privacy of others and your courtesy to others help to create a positive health care experience for everyone. Smoking, drinking and other activities which are likely to endanger the safety of the patient are strictly prohibited on the hospital premises.
All the required administrative and financial procedures like insurance documentation, billing procedures, etc., should be done by the attendants in due time. Timely information and approvals can help avoid delays in treatment, discharge and other hospital processes
At SIMS we believe you should have a voice in decisions that affect your health care. Mutual respect and cooperation between patients, attendants and health care providers, along with open communication, help to create a supportive environment for recovery, safety and overall well-being. Together, we can offer the best care and a better experience of healthcare for everyone.
