Pharmacy Overview

Pharmacy is the intersection of medical science and patient safety. Every drug dispensed, every formulation developed, and every treatment protocol that reaches a patient goes through the knowledge and judgement of a pharmacist. It’s a field that demands accuracy and accountability, and that’s what SIMS pharmacy education is all about.

SIMS pharmacy students are placed in a live hospital setting from the very beginning of their training. With access to a teaching hospital with more than 1,100 beds, you’ll gain hands on experience with real prescriptions, patients and clinical choices not simulations. Faculty are all people who are doing the job now, so what is taught in class is relevant to what hospitals and pharmaceutical organisations need right now.

The programmes cover the full range of pharmaceutical science, including drug formulation, pharmacology, quality assurance, clinical pharmacy, and regulatory affairs, to prepare graduates for careers in hospitals, retail pharmacy, pharmaceutical industries, and research.

Pharmacy Programms

Various statutory and academic bodies regulating the field of pharmaceutical education in India have approved SIMS Pharmacy College, Hapur. It is a part of Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, which is affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow. These affiliations give pharmacy programmes access to regulated standards for both academic and clinical practice. For students, it means a degree with weight backed by institutional credibility that has been built over 18+ years of medical education, not just regulatory compliance.

At SIMS, pharmacy students train in well-equipped laboratories designed for drug analysis, formulation, and research work. The campus has a well-stocked library, AC classrooms, and separate rooms for machines and instrumentation. What sets SIMS apart is immediate access to a 1,100+ bedded teaching hospital with operational departments providing ICU, OT, OPD, blood bank and diagnostic services. Pharmacy students don’t live in a college building; they train in a working health care system.
