Anesthesiology
The Department of Anesthesiology at Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur, is dedicated to delivering safe anesthesia and quality intensive care services. As a core surgical support specialty, the department provides life support and pain management for both surgical procedures and childbirth. Services include pre-anesthesia check-up and optimisation, monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, and comprehensive perioperative and postoperative management for both routine and emergency procedures. The intensive care unit ensures round-the-clock assessment and management of critically ill patients. The department also plays an active role in academic training, conducting regular teaching programs for MBBS students and residents.

- Regular BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) training programs are conducted for students
- Emergency surgeries are performed round the clock, 24×7
- Bedside Pre-Anesthesia Checkup (PAC) provided for immobile patients on call
- The department manages the Central Sterilisation Supply Department (CSSD)
- Oversees the hospital's medical gas pipeline supply system, including the liquid oxygen plant and oxygen generator
- 120-bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipped with advanced ventilators and monitoring systems
- Adequate facilities for bedside procedures and point-of-care testing
- Round-the-clock critical care provided by a dedicated team of intensivists
