The faculty of SIMS is actively involved in research activities in addition to their teaching responsibilities and regularly present their work at national and international conferences and have many publications to their credit in reputed journals. The research infrastructure of the Institution includes a Central Research Lab with advance research facilities, a dedicated PCR Lab under the Department of Microbiology. Regular workshops are conducted by the Medical Education Unit to improve the teaching skills of faculty. Students are encouraged to publish in reputed journals and CMEs, guest lectures, symposia promote continuous academic development and evidence based learning across the institution.
