Pharmacology
Pharmacology is the science of drugs, encompassing all aspects of knowledge relevant to effective and safe medicinal use. The Department of Pharmacology at Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences is the backbone of rational therapeutics for MD and MBBS students, providing high-quality education, training, and research that emphasises clinical competence. The department runs the Pharmacovigilance ADR Monitoring Centre, one of the AMC ADR Monitoring Centres under NCC (NPvPI)-IPC, Government of India, which helps improve drug safety in society by regularly reporting adverse drug reactions and maintaining academic excellence.
