Overview

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a full-fledged undergraduate course that equips students for professional nursing practice and leadership in health care. The curriculum is a combination of classroom learning, laboratory training and intensive clinical exposure to create strong theoretical and practical bases. Training includes patient care, health assessment, nursing research, community health and healthcare management. The program seeks to develop clinical expertise, ethical values, communication skills and critical decision-making skills. Graduates are ready to enter a variety of career opportunities in hospitals, educational institutions, research organisations, and public health sectors.

Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (intermediate) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board.
Compulsory subjects:
Physics, chemistry, biology and English.
Maximum marks:
45% for EWS, GENERAL, and OBC in the PCB.
ST, SC: at least 40% aggregate marks in PCB.
Domicile requirement:
Govt. college- only permanent residents (domiciles of Uttar Pradesh) are eligible. This requirement is proven by a domicile certificate or by having passed both 10th and 12th examinations from schools within U.P.
PRIVATE COLLEGE – Candidates from other states are typically eligible to apply for seats in private nursing institutions affiliated with ABVMU.
 
Additional criteria:
Medical fitness: all candidates must be declared medically fit by a medical board appointed by the university and college.
 
Marital status: Married candidates are eligible to apply.
 
Candidates with colour blindness are eligible, provided they wear corrective contact lenses or spectacles during their services.
