Established in 2008, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur, is committed to providing the highest quality women's health care alongside teaching and research. Postgraduate training began in 2015 and has grown to six seats annually since 2020. The department offers round-the-clock services, including high-risk obstetrics and gynaecological emergencies, and plays an active role in the National Family Planning Program. It also manages the Comprehensive Rural and Urban Health Centre attached to the institute, which has over 18 ongoing research projects, including theses and collaborative studies with other departments.
