Overview
The Auxiliary Nurses and Midwifery (ANM) is a full-fledged program that prepares students for a rewarding career in the field of nursing and community health. The course is designed to develop basic nursing skills and knowledge in maternal and child health, first aid, health promotion and patient care practices. Classroom education, laboratory training and clinical exposure all assist students to develop confidence and professional competence. The program focuses on preventive care, outreach into the community, and compassionate patient support. Qualification
10+2 class passed or its equivalent examination in the arts or science stream from a recognised board.
Minimum marks: must have obtained at least 40-50% aggregate in the qualifying examinations (varying by state/institute). Candidates from state open schools or NIOS are also eligible.
