The publication teaching and SIMS faculty members are actively involved in research and regularly present papers at various national and international conferences in their respective areas of specialisation. Many faculty members have a commendable number of publications to their credit in reputed national and international journals. Some of them have authored books in their area of specialisation.
The institute organises guest lectures, CMEs, symposia and workshops for the faculty and the students from time to time. The institute is supported by a Central Research Laboratory, a PCR Laboratory and a Medical Education Unit. The students are also encouraged to publish research papers in reputed medical journals, thus inculcating a sustained culture of academic inquiry and life-long learning throughout the institution.
