Anatomy
The Department of Anatomy at Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences studies the structure of the human body across macroscopic, microscopic, and developmental aspects, contributing significantly to the college's academic mission through a well-trained faculty and support staff. The department emphasises clinically relevant interrelationships, functional and cross-sectional anatomy, and the microscopic identification of organs and tissues in relation to their function and abnormalities. It also focuses on the basic principles of organ and system development, along with the effects of teratogens and developmental abnormalities, building a strong anatomical foundation for clinical correlation and disease understanding among MBBS and postgraduate students.
